Sheffield Record Shops – N – P

Nelson’s Lowfields
There is no address for this shop on the sleeve but Lowfields School is on London Road, so we assume the shop was somewhere around the area.

Page’s Gramophone Stores. 48 Bellhouse Road, Firth Park, Sheffield

Pages, Bellhouse road, Firth Park.jpg

“Gramophone and Wireless Store”. Authorised dealer for several labels and gramophone players. Sleeve suggests around 1920 but not listed in local directory. Two very different designs, this earlier one lists Sterno label, which began in 1926. The shop generates no hits on local forums suggesting it did not survive long into post-War era. Shop building still there, much altered, currently a discount store.
