CLOSED

I’ll be looking at some of the many record shops in Sheffield which have closed over the years (and a few others further afield). This is part of some research I’m doing for a book on the subject, talking to people who worked and shopped there to try and capture some of the stories about those of us who bought and sold vinyl rather than made the music. The earliest Sheffield store selling vinyl I’ve discovered so far is Wilson Peck, which opened in 1896. Do get in touch if you can help with any recollections or photographs or memorabilia.
