In late 1954 Decca planned to move to full colour printing (CMYK) on their sleeves. For some of the light orchestral and easy listening albums they used an artist called Demilio, who produced a number of remarkably vibrant and colourful illustrations. We have so far been unable to find out anything about the artist but the Demilio designs here were all issued between Jan 1955 and Feb 1956 and appear to be some of the earliest colour album sleeves issued in Britain.
